Things are working....

Things are working well around the house. Tuesday will be a week out from surgery and I am gaining strength daily. I have finally figured out how to best get my medicine in my body. That has been the most difficult part because it says to take with food and right now I am on clear liquids and I have to crush the medicine for the first month or so and OMG that stuff taste B I T T E R!!!!!! I was left all alone last night so I got myself up and went out and did a little shopping. It was nice to just go at my pace and stop when I needed to rest. I am looking forward to adding some variety to my intake of lovely nurishment. One more week! Hope everyone has a wonderful productive week. I plan to spend time in my classroom unpacking boxes and getting organized.

Found a cool blog that everyone can enjoy ! This is a blogger that has been through the Gastric Bypass Surgery in 2006 and she has some really cool recipes that are low fat, low carb and low in sugar and they taste good. I so needed to find her.

My room is packed and....

I finished packing the last box in my classroom at about 6:00 p.m. and took a walk around the school just to take it all in before I left for the evening.  Joe and I will return tomorrow to make a haul to the new school and to the storage.  Fourteen years in one place that I have formed a bond with many people.  I am going to miss many things about Giddens, but, most of all the people.

I began my countdown of preparing for my surgery for this Tuesday the 24th.  Drank that nasty stuff to clean me out and I can say I am "squeaky clean" and proud.  Clear liquids only for today and tomorrow.  Why is it that when you can't eat you want to eat everything in site including things you really don't like?  Tomorrow is pre-op time at the hospital and just getting everything else in order.  I am excited and a bit nervous at the same time.  I know the end result is going to be worth the hard work in the beginning.

The packing has begun...

I packed my first two boxes and sealed them up for their departure to CPMS. I know that doesn't sound like much but I also sorted through two large bookshelves of books and sorted through all of my games. I have avoided doing that for quite some time. Tomorrow is a new day and packing should go much faster. I am feeling the need for purging:) I told another friend today about my surgery plans and the subject was met with great enthusiasm! So far I have only had two people that have been negative about my choice and I just have to know that they will not be ones to go to for support. So be it. Oh by the way I have lost two of the last five I need to loose by next week, yea!!!!!

Lots of changes in the works.....

I have been exercising four days this past week. I have made sure I have been drinking all my water like a good girl. It paid off and I weighed in today and lost 3.5 lbs of my pre op loss requirement. A bit of exciting news is they want to move my surgery up a week to next week on Tuesday, July 24! So, now it is moved up and I have a lot of things to do in a short amount of time. I have to pack up my classroom and get it moved to my new school and I am studying for my Generalist Certification that I am to take this month as well. Eeeeeekkkkk it is starting to ball up.
