My room is packed and....

I finished packing the last box in my classroom at about 6:00 p.m. and took a walk around the school just to take it all in before I left for the evening.  Joe and I will return tomorrow to make a haul to the new school and to the storage.  Fourteen years in one place that I have formed a bond with many people.  I am going to miss many things about Giddens, but, most of all the people.

I began my countdown of preparing for my surgery for this Tuesday the 24th.  Drank that nasty stuff to clean me out and I can say I am "squeaky clean" and proud.  Clear liquids only for today and tomorrow.  Why is it that when you can't eat you want to eat everything in site including things you really don't like?  Tomorrow is pre-op time at the hospital and just getting everything else in order.  I am excited and a bit nervous at the same time.  I know the end result is going to be worth the hard work in the beginning.

  1. Wow! Surgery! How scarey and thrilling all at the same time! Life is an adventure and I am so excited for you and your future self! I heard a saying recently that I remember my Grandmother used to say: "Mostly people regret the things they never did, not the things we did do.". I may have messup up the words a bit, but I think it is a famous quote. Good luck with the surgery- prayers being said for you and your family! Can't wait to read your next post!
